WILDCAT BASEBALL
MYRA programs are made possible thanks to Volunteer Coaches. Parents and Guardians are encouraged to be more than mere spectators by contributing their time as volunteer coaches - as well as being their kid’s greatest fans. If you're interested in learning more about volunteering, please reach out by emailing MovilleMYRA@gmail.com.
MYRA Baseball is in the Tri-County Little League. The league consists of the school districts Woodbury Central, Hinton, Marcus Meriden Cleghorn Remsen Union, Lawton-Bronson, and Kingsley-Piersen. Players will play in the division they qualify for based on age based on Little League age chart. There will be a year-end league tournament for LL Minors, LL 50/70 and 55/80. Coach pitch has approximately 10 games and the others will play approximately 15 games per regular season with 3 tournament games. Games start in early May and the year-end tournament is in the end of June.
For ages 10-under, 11-under, and 12-under, there is an opportunity to play on our league All-Stars team. Players from all the communities will be selected to play districts against other area Little League All-Star teams from Sioux City, LeMars and Sergeant Bluff. They then could have the opportunity to go to state if they win districts. There is also an additional All-Star team with players that did not make the Little League All-Star team to play a tournament in Sioux Falls area.
8th grade baseball players can play on high school teams provided by the Woodbury Central school.
Registration will start in February and be done by late March.

FAQ:
What equipment does MYRA provide? MYRA provides helmets, catcher's gear, baseballs. MYRA has some bats that are donated to program that are handed out to coaches. Players need their own glove and cleats.
How as a coach do I schedule practice time for field? You can send an email to movillemyra@gmail.com with request for practice time. It is first come first serve with games having precedent over practice. For the last few years the Sioux City Futures baseball program has paid for field usage as well, they have to wait 48 hours before requesting field time to give the WC teams plenty of time to request field time prior to Futures taking field times.
